No experience growing cannabis required.
Preferred 3 years desired.

The candidate for this position might not have prior experience in Cannabis but a background in organic and inorganic chemistry will be given high priority. This candidate knows that multi-tasking and adaptation will be key elements to the success of our brand.

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS in Chemistry or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years real-world laboratory experience.

2+ years leadership experience with proven track record for effectively managing a strong team.

Expertise in subcritical and supercritical CO2 extraction methods as well as the purification, separation and isolation of various compounds of cannabis

Excellent research and data organization skills are very important. MUST have skills to manage internal and external conflicts while empowering team members to problem solve independently

Trimmers are overseen by the master grow. Looking for a person that wants to learn and must be very detail oriented.
This is a 35-40 hours weekly position.
Trimmers are responsible for manicuring wet or dry flower from the stalk and break down plants to process/trim them to meet the  quality standards.
Also responsible for tracking the batches that they trim including the final finished product, the usable by-product amount (trim), and the un-usable by-product (waste) according to company policy and practices, as well as state, local and MED laws and regulations.
Responsibilities of the Trimmer includes but are not limited to: Employee must account for each by-product type processed off the flower;
Employee must exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skills.
Employee must be able to work well independently, as well as with others.
Employee must be able to follow basic instructions as well as be able to take constructive criticism from their managers so they can help maintain quality standards and production goals.
Employee must show up on time for work everyday ready to work.
Trim staff must have a basic understanding of the Medical Marijuana laws, rules and regulations set forth by the state and the MMED; a pursuit to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws is appreciated and commendable.
Colorado driver’s license or State ID card

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

Must pass any and all required background checks

Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
Must be approved by the MMED to receive a support badge

High School Education or GED graduate; some college or college graduate preferred.

1-2 years experience processing medical marijuana or other botanicals preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Pay: $10.00 – $12.00 /hour DOE, comprehensive benefits package available after 60 days. Benefits package includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off and 401k.

Responsibilities: 

Take down plants
Trim buds and de-leaf
Protect the quality of all product when at the trim table
Follow all compliance rules
Maintain a clean working environment, Keep trim room clean and trays clean and sanitary
Assist growers in turning over the rooms and cleaning after harvest
Cut back plant – 3” increments
Disconnect the irrigation hose
Trim for hand harvest
Remove pots
Cut plants to level with soil
Discard Soil
Clean grow room for next harvest, including lights
Clean/Mop common work area (harvest room)

Actively looking for an individual with the education, background and experience to take control and manage brand new state-of-the-art greenhouse facilities in British Colombia for Licensed Producers under Health Canada’s Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations, which came into effect April 1, 2014.

Job requirements and responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of growing to ensure quality is foremost in each project
Experience in propagation of laboratory tissue cultures
Recognize potential problems and execute correction measures
Hire and coordinate the activities of staff
Ensure all tracking is compliant with government regulations
Manage data collection for accuracy
Supervision of inventory to meet the goals of each project
Liaise with Laboratory Manager on timeline for upcoming projects
Responsible for all areas of technological operations

Qualifications:
Production Horticulture Diploma (similar to Olds College, Alberta) Or
Degree in Biology, Agriculture, or Horticulture
Basic understanding of genetics and plant care
Basic understanding of biotechnology, molecular biology, and genomics
Extensive experience in propagation
Computer proficiency
Proven experience in organization skills and record keeping
Effective verbal communication and leadership skill
